"The Sound of Music" is based on the inspiring true story of Maria Rainer. Its heart-warming plot and renowned songs, including Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss and The Sound of Music, earned it five Tony Awards during its Broadway debut, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
